I was wondering if anyone had experience with NetAdmin from Site5 and how it compares to CPanel? I'm thinking of moving hosts and was wondering how well it does.

Thank you.

NetAdmin works great for me and I'm a complete newbie when it comes to managing a site from a web based control panel. Almost everything is explained in sufficent detail and seems quick and easy to work with.

Netadmin is an extention of CP. CP is still there and working.

I don't think that shared users get access to CP. It states on their website that dedicated users get access to it. Shared users get NetAdmin.

Hi Adam,

Maybe I can clear a few things up for you. NetAdmin is a program written by Site5 that integrates with Cpanel to provide our shared hosting customers with increased functionality. For example, the domain pointer feature is part of NetAdmin, not Cpanel. The Front Page extensions installer is also a part of NetAdmin. You will find quite a few things in NetAdmin that are not available in the standard Cpanel/WHM package.

NetAdmin is only available to shared hosting customers. Dedicated server and co-location customers are given the standard Cpanel/WHM package at no additional cost, and the option to use BillAdmin for a small monthly fee.

Hope that helps.

Site5-Matt,

If you wrap NetAdmin to your own licensing with permission via VDI, it will be great and I am sure all host will go crazy and purchase your software, you would be thankful as well.

CPanel needs alot of improvements like we said. I like CPanel myself better than Alabanza ones.

Why would he need permission from VDI?
VDI does not own CPanel...

Then he probably meant permission from VDI, as VDI is one of the people that offer the Cpanel license (their version, as you are aware), otherwise he'd need to get permission from Darkorb. Either way, it sounds like he is using or intends to use the VDI version, or that he just intends to get permission from one of the other.
