Thanks Abbas jimb 05-05-2001, 10:51 AM Hey, Im pretty sure that DataPacket.Net resells their hosting packages from www.become-an-isp.com. They are just a site that is reselling some "Quick, No Work, ISP" companies packages. You can verify it here: http://www.become-an-isp.com/references.html They are under the name of BRINET in that section, but if you click on the BRINET link, it redirects to DataPacket. Im not saying they are bad or anything, infact I know that Become-an-ISP give end user 24/7 phone support. So when you email them, ask for that option and mention Become-An-ISP. Here is the Become-An-ISP web hosting resale page: http://www.become-an-isp.com/basic/webhosting.html Same plans as on DataPacket.Net, so they should be pretty good with a 99% uptime as well as tech support. Hope this helps :) Jim AbbasJaffarali 05-05-2001, 11:15 AM Thanks! I was looking at their NT Hosting plan, which is only one that I've found that supports MySQL as well as MS SQL. But as far as I could tell the become-an-isp.com only offered Unix Servers. Thanks Abbas jimb 05-05-2001, 11:49 AM Become-An-ISP also offers Colocation Services. They may have an NT server colocated at that center. Jim dpnh 05-05-2001, 12:34 PM Jim, Access services are resold. Web hosting is done at 'our' noc in FL. A simple traceroute will show this. Yes we bought brinet who use to resell our hosting services. Hope that clears it up. dpn. AbbasJaffarali 05-05-2001, 01:02 PM Hi dpnh, I had sent an email through your website for your sales team a couple of days ago and was wondeing if you guys received it? Thanks Abbas dpnh 05-05-2001, 01:05 PM AbbasJaffarali, Please contact me @ sales@datapacket.net with your questions. dpn jimb 05-05-2001, 01:15 PM Hey Dpnh, If you guys have your own NOC, then why are you using Become-An-ISP for your dial up connections? Do you have just local dial-up out of your NOC? Is the Become-An-ISP program just for Nation Wide? Also, if you do have your own NOC, (which I dont doubt at all, i believe you have one) why are you only using the Become-An-ISP numbers and not your own? Do you just provide server colo, and if you do, why aren't you selling those services? I just want to clear up a few things. Jim dpnh 05-05-2001, 01:27 PM Jim, >Do you have just local dial-up out of your NOC? Yes for 407 and 352 area codes. >Is the Become-An-ISP program just for Nation Wide? Yes, as an added service offering. Although we are not with become-an-isp directly. We did acquire an account with them but we have our own wholesale dialup accounts through psi, starnet and uu directly for wholesale. >why are you only using the Become-An-ISP numbers >and not your own? I take it you are referring to pops. See answer above. >Do you just provide server colo, and if you do, why >aren't you selling those services? Not to the general public. If I can answer any further questions please let me know. dpn jimb 05-05-2001, 02:03 PM Hello, Okay, sounds like you cleared everything up. One more thing, what connections into your data center do you have? And from who? Also, where is the datacenter located? Physical Address?
