I'm looking for a RAQ host that doesn't cost much (< $250) and offers at least 100GB of transfer. Any suggestions?

rackshack.net is pretty good and is well within your price range and they have 150 gb of transfer a month.

I had one problem with them and that was that they mucked up my dns on there name servers, but they have been good on all other things and they did fix it in the end.

I have my site on a raq4i with 256mb ram and It all works very well, and it seems to be fast as well, or at least faster than where I last hosted my site.

Both familiar faces. :)

Checked into Rackshack, and I am considering replacing my existing 4webspace server with them (since they do offer more bandwidth), but they unfortunately don't support MySQL.

Either RAQ3 or RAQ4. Doesn't matter. As long as it has PHP and MySQL (I hate both, but for some reason, there are those who can't live without them).

What do you mean by rack shack don't support mysql, I know you can just install it from a pkg file from the colbalt site and so thats easy enough to solve.

I was told by someone who tried installing it that it was a nightmare if you did it wrong. I'm willing to pay (for example, the charge 4Webspace charges), but I don't want to go with the "do it at your own peril" philosophy because that can get both frustrating and expensive.

I heard from this thread <RackShack RaQ4i experiences! (http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?threadid=10329)> that installing these stuff is kinda simple, if it's really so.. then $199 is quite expensive to pay.. regarding the simplicity of installation,.. well.. only until i've the chance to try out..

So far on this message board, I've read only good things about efreeservers. They seem to know their stuff. The one negative thing I can think of is that they force you to buy 200GB of traffic, so if you don't have a busy site, you might be better off with a different provider.

You should also keep in mind with efreeservers is the 20 month contract...breaking it before your 20 months is up gets you charged the retail price of buying the server...
