Hello everyone. I had some questions about Nocster. I am new to web hosting and am in the process of designing a site (will be going commercial in 3-6 months). I have been reading some good things about Nocster and was hoping that some people could answer a few questions for me.

I have seen that Nocster has some 300gb plans for about $100/month with RH 7.3. Do these servers have php/mySQL ready to go when you signup? And are they burstable up to 100mpbs? Given the nature of my site and assuming some growth, it is possible I could have some bandwidth spikes that would require this.

I had some general questions about 'managed hosting'. I only want to be concerned with the development side of my site. I dont know anything (and don't care to know much) with regard to setting up and securing the server. Will a managed plan such as Nocster's be what I am looking for?

I apologize if these questions have been asked in the forum. I searched around a little bit but couldn't find an exact answer. Thanks everybody!

Alekhine,

If you opt for the Cpanel/WHM control panel with your server, you will have PHP and MySQL support on it. I have not tried the vanilla flavor Redhat 7.3 so I cannot say if PHP and MySQL comes with it. If they come with Redhat as standard then it would be included, I guess.

The Cpanel/WHM is only $19.95/mth and sure is a great edition to have which allows you to manage your server a lot better.

I am not sure about the burstable to 100mbps. Why don't you write to Nocster directly by dropping them an email and ask them, I am very sure that they will be more than happy to answer your questions.
