Hey guys.

I just discovered this forum. I guess I'm 'out of the loop'. But now that I'm here, everyone here seems to know what they are talking about, so I'll ask.

I'm the owner of a gaming network in development. We are currently on CommuniTech.Net (they are trying to shove us onto a dedicated). The network currently contains 11 domains and of course, more will come as we expand. I'd prefer to stay on virtual accounts and signed up as a reseller. I do not have that much server experience and would not be able to run my own for the network. I'm a current reseller of CommuniTech.Net and I like their service but we're apparently taking up to much bandwidth. I DO NOT want to move to a dedicated.

Does anyone know of a good web host I can move to where I can sign up as a reseller and run this network properly? I'd like the following features for each domain if not more...

300MB of webspace
40GB of bandwidth/month
Static IP Address (not required but would be nice)
30 POP3 Email Accounts
Unlimited Email Forwarders
Perl, PHP 4, ColdFusion, mySQL, MS SQL
Control Panel (that I can customize)
Subdomains (unlimited if available, but a # is ok)

I'd to be able to set all of it up in real-time. If anyone can do this for me or anything similiar, I'm willing to pay for it.

Or, if anyone knows of a reliable company that offers something similiar to this, please list them here. I have found the following that offer something similiar...

*****.com
Burlee.com
OLMNetworks.com
CWIHosting.com

Anything you can tell me or offer me would be appriciated. Thanks.

Check out VenturesOnline.com (http://www.VenturesOnline.com) they are very helpful.

Avoid ***** like the plague. Do a search here on them and you will see why. I am stuck with CI for the next 9 months and 13 days. Their service is so bad that I am considering moving to another host and eating the remainder of my contract at CI. You also might want to move/repost this to the advertising / offers forum where the hosts here can reply to your request.

Hi,
Out of the list you posted.. with the bandwidth your looking for, you might try looking over burlee to see if they have all you need. Scratch the top one off your list.
Also, OLM is a big place, but I think at that bandwidth they would kill you on price. I am not sure about the CWI at all, so look over them and look for other users posts for info on them.

Your needing a ton of bandwidth, and most hosts would point you to a dedicated machine. You may want to look for a shared machine with only a few sites on it - Like less than 25.

Good luck in your search.

Well, if a host would be willing to set a server aside just for my network but treat us as virtual accounts, I'd love it. :)

Also, what are you experiences with the hosts I listed? Good? Bad? Gimme your stories please. What about hosts I didn't list? I'd like to hear anything you can tell me!

Hi Dustin,
OLM would be worth checking out.
http://www.tera-byte.com
and you might want to post this same question in the advert/offer forum here. You can look through that forum and find lots of different plans, specials, already
posted.

Have you looked at www.HostPro.com?

Of the four hosts that you have listed, I only have experience with one of them: CWI. I would recommend that you avoid them at all costs. I had nothing but trouble with them. Poor tech support, slow response times, servers down A LOT.

I have read a lot of good things about:
venturesonline
site5
wizardshosting
weinbar

I am currently using weinbar and am still developing my site but so far I am very pleased with them. I am also using cqhost for a client site that needed to be developed with java server pages, java servlets, and MySQL - so far so good there as well. The site will be going live in 3 weeks and so far they have been excellent compared with cwi.

I would bet that if you went with Ventures Online (http://www.venturesonline.com) and it came down to it, you would have this option. Talk to them and see how much this would cost.
