If you're really going to store 100gb worth of stuff, you need a dedicated server.

Not really. My Windows VPS from EuroVPS has 100GB.
http://eurovps.com/eng/vps/managed_windows_vps/

I'm knee deep in PHP and .NET right now, dev'ing a site, logged into RDP most of the day.
It works perfectly. In fact, better than some dedicated systems I've been on.

Or a large VPS, yes.

1&1 and Godaddy are terrible.

I had Arvixe on Linux and it was great, 10/10. They have Windows hosting too. And yes, 1&1 and GoDaddy are both terrible.

Hi

are you actually going to be using 100GB Space or just want 100GB Space???

if you need it.. id recommend a dedicated server over a VS

You missed the reply "Space is 10-15GB not 100gb"

requirement:
Database(MS SQL): 1 (5 - 10 GB)

Keep in mind most shared hosts have database size limit 500MB or 1 GB.
Some charge fee for MSSQL database as addon.

below is what i got from my developer, i don't understand why do they have 1 GB database on a windows hosting? can ASP.NET application use MySQL Databases on a window server?? thx

OS: Windows
Space: 15 GB
Database: 10 (1 GB each)
MS SQL (1 X 100 MB)
.net

Yes ASP.NET can use MySQL if you really want to.

Your last reply says:

Database: 10 (1 GB each)
MS SQL (1 X 100 MB)

If those figures are your requirements then you are kind of contradicting yourself.

Which is it?
10 x 1GB MS SQL Databases?
OR
1 x 100MB?

That fact alone will make a huge difference in your hosting costs.

You will find some Windows hosts that do not limit your MS SQL database to small sizes and include the size in your plan allocation. But before anyone can recommend things for you, you need to confirm exactly what your database number and size requirement is.

If your totally lost with this, then i would recommend you have your developer post the exact requirements on your behalf.

Hope that helps.

Find out what kind of databases are all involved.
For example, I have a mix of MySQL and MS SQL on many of my sites.

You're going to get dinged pretty hard at most places for 10 separate SQL databases. I would go with a VPS and install SQL 2008 Express on it.

my freelancers keep replying with this :

OS: Windows
Space: 15 GB
Database: 10 (1 GB each)
MS SQL (1 X 100 MB)
.net
-------------------- i don't get it , i ask them if they use mix of MySQL and MS SQL Database, they said they use only ms sql database.. then what the -- do they mean by'Database: 10 (1 GB each)'

thx

I advise asking them whether they want 11 databases (10x1GB, 1x100MB). I think this has been reiterated a few times, but a dedicated server sounds like the best solution for you. You may be able to find Windows hosting that will fit your specific needs on a shared host, but you can expect to pay a premium.

How many websites do you have?
I would be careful with the freelancers as they don't seem to be precise on the requirements.

this is my first one; i think they are not very reliable. they keep asking me for payment but they don't even finish their job yet., it is hard to find a good developer; i may have to look for a new one..
thx

The freelancer sounds like an amateur at best.
