I'm currently hosted with Jumpline.com and have had minor problems with them and am just browsing through different web hosting solutions. I just read that Jumpline is upgrading their network to and OC-192 connection and their servers in July, so I might not be changing for sure.

Here is the basic stuff what I am looking for. The price should be $25/month and under:

The important things that I am looking for in the host is a fast connection, great support, and high uptime.

I have seen several references to site5 around here and have been very impressed by their offerings. I was wondering if there were any good suggestions on other hosts and new anything about any of them.

If you do a search on this board, I think you will find many reputable hosts that can easily give you what you want for a low price

Cpals, you might consider posting in the advertising forum so that hosts can respond to you.

Lastly, if you are relatively happy with your current host, it probably isn't worth the hassle to switch.

Yeah why are you leaving exactly? If the reason is just to get a cheaper deal then it's probably not such a good idea. I've tried a few of these cheaper hosts around here (thankfully with no important sites) and have learned the old saying "you get what you pay for" holds true with web hosting as much as anything. :D

Best experience I've had with any of the companies that are here is jaguarpc without doubt. We only left them because the site hosted with them was shutting down for the forseeable future. Exceptional support and really good people to work with. Even when we cancelled our account they actioned it within a few hours of sending the ticket request.

I've been far less happy with Weinbar. We've been trying their WHT special offer and have found them sluggish at times, a few outages and others have endured bad service in the support department.

Worst experience of all has been version12. We ordered their "special offer" dedicated server and the last week has been absolute hell. They're pretty much blaming all our problems on the new Ensim panel, while we're waiting for version13. :angry:

Well, currently I am maxing out the space on the account that I have with my current host. And if I upgrade to a higher account then the price will become significantly higher, which I cannot afford.

That's why I am looking around at other hosts that offer more space and features for about the same current price. I will keep both hosts running for a month or more and see if it would be more beneficial to just pay extra money for my current host or if the new host will work for me.

Any other ideas?
