Please note that .edu is only for university.
High school are not allowed to register.
There's NO charge for .edu registration.

Try this,

1. Send a request to register .edu domain using the email template (ver 6.0) to hostmaster@networksolutions.com
2. You will received a tracking number, save it.
3. Netsol will contact you to make sure that you really need to register .edu.
4. You reply that message and say yes.
5. Netsol will contact you and ask you to send that university's brochure through fax WITH the tracking number.
6. Wait for a few days and hope netsol will approve your request.

Hope this help.

No, there isn't anyone who can help you here. Apart from a few cases of Postel-bogosity, EDU domains are restricted to institutions within the US with 4-year programs granting Baccalauriate degrees (or higher).

Believe it or not, .EDU is also available for institutions abroad. Check this out:

www.ui.edu
www.stts.edu
www.stikom.edu
www.maranatha.edu
www.uph.edu

these are some institutions in Indonesia that use .edu domain also, and I believe there are still many others.

Any one wants to add the list of .edu domains in your country?

cheers,

High school are not allowed to register

Incorrect gentlemen.

Check out this HIGH SCHOOL: www.mbhs.edu

It stands for Montgomery Blair High School.

They are a Public school and have no 4-year college program attached.

Jon Postel was a really smart cookie, but he had a habit of breaking his own rules. There are EDU domains which wouldn't be granted now, but that doesn't change what the rules are.

Bad,

Is still noone else allowed to register .edu besides Netsol.
As such their transfer procedures etc are not easy for the non technical user.

I have been lucky so far that i have not got to register any .edu domain though we host a couple of them.
