No one should be complaining about you offering your services in the advertising forum, just dont post multiple ads in the same day that, makes some people mad.

DONT LEAVE... we love new faces... Ill let the mods know that they need to do a better job of getting on people who harrass you as long as are following the forum rules.

Good Luck

I'm not trying to harrass or make a problem here...really. However, I have a question. What is considered acceptable to advertise here? I thought this was a forum for webhosting talk?

The description of the forum is Instead of companies spamming our main forums with advertisements this forum is has been setup strictly for companies to promote their services. It might also be worthwhile browsing through here for one-off special offers. Services include hosting, design, programming, etc. I think it is more of a General Advertisment forum then for webhosters.

READ THE RULES (http://www.webhostingtalk.com/misc.php?action=forum-rules)
There is nothing in there that says that someone can not offer their Web Design ability. Although I think it would be better for the designer to have their own topic in this forum, but that would be up to the Mods.
The rules state: 13. Advertisement forum is strictly for the advertisements of web hosting and related services. And I would consider the two related.
Maybe we should start a poll...... So welcome xwebdesigner, stick around.

I'm sure you all can understand that when it says companies (since this is a webhosting forum) it's referred to webhosting companies. Obviously these kinds of postings have upset a lot of people, that is why we're having this conversation. So the right thing would be to either move it to its own section or to not allow it.

Also I did already start a poll on this a few days ago:

You know, after reading posts like the above I realize an ignore feature would really solve a lot of problems.

Is there no sense of humor around here?

Seer, do you know any other forums about webhosting? If so please message me in private. I really don't have time to waste on this. It's not worth it!

xwebdesigner, that you have such good sense of humor is enough for all of us.

Check through your profile. There is an ignore feature in there - just a matter of dropping a few user names into the box and bingo no more posts from them :)

zolbian, why do we need to know that? As much as I am sorry about his attitude, I do not know what point are you trying to show here. All that he has done in this forum was to advertise his skill, nothing more than that. Yes, I was pissed off to open his pornographic banner without any warning that what I am about to open is pornograhic in nature. But that's different story... You seem to be pissed off with his work or something else. I don't see the reason why. So, please keep your personall matter with him privately. I don't see he has done any harm to the forum or to you publicly, you need not to attack him publicly in return. At this point I do think it's you who has been harasshing/trolling him publicly (save your private matters to yourself).

cheers,

Errr, what private matters? I do not have any private matters with him. I did not email him, nor did I private message him or anything. There was no need for him to email me that kind of crap. Although I had a feeling something like that would happen sooner or later. That is why I wanted those kind of posts to be moved to their own section.

2 things that demonstrate my point:

1) The email above. I don't think I need to say anymore.
2) http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?threadid=10241 <<-- here you will see how he's trying to start argument instead of trying to work things out and come to a neutral ground.

You might see things different. I just wanted to show you things from my point of view.
