Make a biz plan
Get a reseller plan
Find your target market
Start advertising

Does this help ?

Find something which makes you stand out - the market is flooded and fierce. Try targetting you local market to start with and see what sort of response you get.

Here is just a few suggestions:

1. find a good reseller plan with good support in the back ground to answer any customer questions / resolve any problems, you can't answer yourself. - Stay with them for a while and consider it a learning process for you.

2. Your clients should be able to pay with credit card. You could use 2checkout.com or revecom.com to start with - it only costs a one time fee of about $49.

3. Once in a while post some offers for free at WHT and other forums that allow ads from web hosts. You may get a few clients here though this should definately not be your only source of income (remember that those who are searching for a host here are mostly looking for the good (sometimes extremely low) price).

4. Offer good and prompt customer service - happy clients will refer you to their friends and your business will grow.

5. Be registered in the major search engines and the web host directories.

6. Be patience - it takes time to build up a customer base. As said, it's a fierce marked, but at the same time it's a marked in growth, so the potential is there.

7. You can find lots of suggestions on how to grow your business here at WHT - do some searches.

Good luck with it!
