Hello,

Can someone please let me know of your experiences with those "expiring domain name grabbing" services? Which ones do you like the most and which is the most effective?

Please let me know.
Thanks!

In my experience, none of them are reliable for serious domains. If you want to get REALLY good domains, you've got to really learn to play the down and dirty games that some of the major speculators play...talking the registrars into giving you the domain before it's released...a little of the old social engineering. :D

 yes, lets school this user on how to take advantage of peoples carelessness and steal unwary peoples domains

Thanks for the messages guys,

Well there is a domain that I want, and it is registered at OpenSRS. The domain expires at the end of this month...Jan 30.

Would I be better off trying to wait until it drops and register it myself? Or should I use a service to "pick up" the domain when it drops. Note: The domain isn't THAT popular--don't think I would be competing with so many people.

Thanks for the advice.

I have the same problem. The domain that I want expires on September 30, 2003. I've heard about the services as described above, but I've never found one yet.

I guess you guys should browse the Domain Names forum at http://www.webhostingtalk.com/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=35 a bit more often ...

OpenSRS almost always drop names on exactly the 41st day.
