I have a friend, and he gave me a free root shell on his redhat 8.0 box in exchange, for me helping him setup his web hosting servers. I'm looking to set this box up to be a dns server.

Basically, I just want to know how to set it up, I'm not too sure what i'm doing. I have a good amount of experience working with a unix shell. If you know anything about setting up nameservers, then please, reply to this thread.

Just about any decent Redhat book at Barnes & Noble has a good section on setting up a good DNS server. Go hang out with a pen and paper at a local B&N and make some notes.
