From my understanding they offer a software which allows you to create your own CDN. This includes "peering" which allows you to divert some of your traffic to their network as you're starting out, but ultimately you create your own network with your own nodes. Is this what you're interested in doing?

Aflexi is a nice tool for creating your own private CDN or create a CDN solution for selling to websites.

The solution is fully automated and you can install nodes on servers that already are in use for other stuff without interupting them.
Everything is done from the web panel, except of the installation of the node.

Works great for me. If the traffic amount is big enough, it will be much cheaper than other solutions out there.

You have to provide your own servers then? So that would be several thousands a month in servers, maintenance, dns, etc plus their fee. Wow that would be much, much more than I pay right now.

We did our calculation, I don't see how it can be more expensive.

Our software comes with some services, all you need is just the servers to do the delivery, the rest is done by us, e.g, reporting, log process, DNS etc.

Even the upgrades are automated.

Unless you are pushing less than 15TB/month, then you shouldn't deploy your CDN.

Aflexi now with onapp so what will happen to Aflexi now :)

nothing really - we've integrated the Aflexi technology into OnApp, and we have allowed all our OnApp clients to buy and sell bandwidth making it really easy to setup your own CDN and/or sell spare bandwidth to the other (800+) OnApp clients.

However, Aflexi - and the clients running it prior to OnApp - will remain active for now.
