The website of http://www.dedicatednow.com/ is not working for me.

Also, my server is not responding at their NAC dc.

Do you also have the same problem?

Is that a network problem? If so, why don't they are looking into the matter or switch to other line?

do u ve any idea, what they are doing or may be aware of the issue?

Network engineers are on the case - apparently. This will be a good test....

R u both aware with the issue before? Or u just contacted them on phone?

How much time do u think it will take to up the servers at NAC?

I was aware they were going to upgrade it several days ago. It was postponed due to bad weather (rain). Just last night ~5pm they decided to resume the maint window.

lol

I am currently having nightmare problems with DCN

firstly... they forgot to send the welcome email with logins out... 3 days later they appologised and sent it out
Then I get to use it, and most of cpanel/whm broke
Then two days later all of server apart from HD had to be replaced.
Still.... it keeps crashing (well apache, etc....) without having even put any sites over

And guess what DCN techs recomended to fix all problems.... upgrade to 1gb of RAM!

I have a box with them and I have not had any complaints. If there was an outage it was short because Alerta did not pick it up.

I have nothing but good things to say about them. My box was setup with in a couple of hours and the upgrades I requested was done the same day.

Are you talking about the same people here? Who is DCN?

We've had a server with Pegasus (a.k.a. DedicatedNow) for I think 8 months now. When we first got the server we were promised MRTG stats and other things in a few days... It's been over 8 months now, still nothing! Their support has also been non-existant. If there is any network problem, I have to email the NAC technicians because emailing Pegasus is useless. Once our server was under attack and pegasus didn't answer for 12 hours! Then Jay logs in to look into the problem, but disapears in the middle of everything! When he comes back he says nothing can be done on the server to stop the attacks. Lucky us we received help on the CPanel forums and stopped the attacks with ipchains ON THE SERVER! Then a couple of months ago Jay promised to upgrade our server, he said he's busy so we should remind him next week... Guess if we've gotten the upgrade yet... Now he's ignoring us, doesn't reply to emails or ICQ messages...

This is just parts of our horror story with this company. I suggest you look elsewhere if you want a provider that actually cares about you after they've gotten your money.

just a FYI, ipchains doesen't stop the attacks, it just makes them not hit your ports (drops the when they hit the interface, you still get billed for any bandwidth assuming its a bandwidth consuming type and not a synflood), but i dont debate the rest of your points (probably because i'm not a customer :D).

Well, the problem was that they sent hundreds of requests per second to Apache and caused it to stop serving websites which ipchains helped us stop.

Anyways, I hope our poor experience with this company  can help others in their quest for a good server provider.

Ahh then yeah :) that saves you some headache. I keep forgetting pwebtech advertises fully managed servers, hence why i even said that (for a sec there i thought you were expecting that on an unmanaged box thinking, "wow, i wouldn't do that for my semi/unmanaged clients either heh")

Before this one goes any further, I've responded to 2 different threads about this same situation, you can review at: http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?threadid=101291&perpage=15&highlight=dedicatednow&pagenumber=2

Derr to self, quit hitting buttons early :) Anyway, although I do not have any information to that particular situation, It was to my knowledge on a Dedicatednow box, not a Pegasus box, and the server has been only live for 1 1/2 months, not 8, and couldn't have been awaiting replies for 2 months, as DedNOW has not been active for 2 months yet. In any event, customer has been asked to contact me directly in regards to this matter, so I can assist with sorting out.

Thanks,

I've replied to you in the other thread, but just FYI you did post a special offer ( http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=87191 ) on November 7th (2 months ago) and your website was online at the time of your post (hence the links in your post)
