View Full Version : The Ad forums 5-day rule

Can you change that 5-day rule? I think it's reasonable that a company has to wait 5 days (and I would even make it 7 days) before posting another hosting ad.

Yet, I don't think this should count together with the job offers or related forums, and that those forums should be a separate issue.

For example, I'd like to be able to post an ad in the "web hosting request" section, and also post an ad to sell a script in the "related requests" forum without waiting 5 days between each one.

Another example: allow a host to post an ad in the "shared offers" forum, and also let themn post an ad for a tech in the "job offers" forum without waiting 5 days to post the job offer.

NOTE: in each above example, the party is asking for help (need host, need a tech) and the party's other request is selling something (hosting, script). That's why I think they should be differentiated.

What do others think?

I wouldn't mind the rule being "per forum."

But, I would like to see it much longer than five days. Every fourteen days would be more than enough.

I agree. I'm in shock! I cannot believe we actually agree on something. :)

Errrrrmmmm.. actually this is already possible. The 5-day rule applies to each forum individually. You can:

I was thinking it was like Chicken said. But, as I don't use it, I just didn't know.

Thanks Chicken for clarifying it. I didn't know that.
