My name is Tom Kaplan and I founded Arctic Web Design in 1999. I'm 14 years old and was the youngest legal business owner in Connecticut when I started my business.

I'm in business not as much to make money, but to gain experience in business. You'll notice most of my sites are not incredibly fancy, but I strive to design clean, eye-pleasing, easy to use sites. I'm an expert in Dreamweaver and Photoshop.

You have done a good job .. and at age 14 it is an achievement in itself to have the maturity of owning and managing a busniess, whatever be the kind.

I wish I had similar business acumen and entreprenurship qualities like yours when I was 14.

However, you should enjoy both your youth and this work which you enjoy doing.

Thanks a lot for your kind comments. You're exactly right - when I started my business, I made sure that it would not take over my life. Web design is only one of my hobbies - baseball is more fun, in my opinion :)
