 | View Full Version : Dynamic DNS MikeSpears 01-11-2011, 10:10 AM Right now, i'm using DNSExit for dynamic dns for the 10 or so domains I host off the server in my house. I've been having tons of issues with them lately, involving the updater crapping out randomly. ZoneEdit is very reliable and well regarded. I used them for a number of years for various projects and never had a single problem with them. HackedServer 06-28-2011, 05:02 PM I've always used FreeDNS (http://freedns.afraid.org). HurricaneElectric (http://dns.he.net) also runs a free DNS service that is really nice. I use it as a Slave DNS to my FreeDNS for redundancy, but it can be used alone. Both of them have simple Dynamic DNS updating through a url, example: http://[your domain name]:[your password]@dyn.dns.he.net/update?hostname=[your domain name] http://freedns.afraid.org/dynamic/update.php?U1RoWVRFTafweFWEfweFEWfawefAFk0OTUw I love both of these services. colosolutionz 07-05-2011, 01:16 PM Can also try sitelutions.com for their free DNS, or I would recommend DNS Made easy if you are interested in paying for a more enterprise level DNS.
