I need a Win host because I use ASP but a host has just asked me do I want Win NT or Win 2k. What is the difference? Thanks.

I would go with win 2k CDHost 01-04-2003, 10:24 AM Windows 2000 is a newer version of the NT operating system. So is XP. They all use the NT kernel. Windows 2000 is in essence Windows NT 5.0 Windows XP Pro is in essence Windows NT 5.1 Don't believe me? Look in your system information under system tools :D So anyway, if you're talking about NT4 you're talking about a pretty outdated OS... so for hosting definately go with 2000 (XP doesnt' even have a server version yet) I know... I know... way too much information :D |
