I know this is probably asked alot but...

What do you people think are the best ways to increase sales? Ads, webhosting directories, etc...

Any opinions would be greatly appreicated, especially first hand exsperiances on what works.

Also, what would you consider a good place to resell domains from? I currently use joker.com and it's about $11/year. I would like to use a more universal system like OpenSRS. Suggestions?

Hi,

OpenSRS is a good system to use. It takes some effort and tweaking to get the cgi and templates ready, but it's worth it.

Realize that with OpenSRS you are paying them in advance for your domain registrations - which is a roadblock for some people to get into it.

It seems like domain registrations are down a bit lately. Maybe the new .info, .biz, etc namespace will pick things up.

Free listings on web host directories are good.

If your budget is small, try www.google.com their AdWords program. $50 could fo a long way! ;)

Cheers!

I've had good luck with pay for position search engines, specifically GoTo.com. However recently the bids for keywords such as "web hosting" have soared a lot higher than I would like to pay. Their effectiveness also seems to be going down, perhaps it's the slowing economy... FindWhat.com isn't quite as popular but their average bids are also much lower. I have gotten a lot of traffic them from them, although less sales... They are worth a shot.
