Hi All,

I have been recently talking with several companies about reselling and/or dedicated services. I have searched here and other forums, and still can't get the answer I am looking for...so here goes...

If I use WHM to create my "packages" to sell, when the customer see's his CPanel....does it only show the items that are sold on his package....or does the panel show all of the options/functions?

The types of options that appear in your users' Cpanel are the result of "themes" (skins) that are created to change the look of Cpanel (and hence the options available). If you're designing a theme, and you don't include certain options, then the user wouldn't be able to modify them via Cpanel.

If you're going dedicated, and creating your own hosting packages, then you'll need to create a Cpanel theme for each plan (or group of plans) for which you want to have a different variety of Cpanel options appear.

For instance, if you have 3 standard plans (without the built-in shopping cart), and 2 e-commerce plans (with shopping cart), then you'll need to create 2 Cpanel themes, one for the standard plans and the other for the e-commerce ones.

On the other hand, if you're reselling fixed packages from a host, they'll likely have created the various Cpanel themes so you'll be able to use them from the start.
