Woody 05-02-2001, 08:54 PM I told a few people about the deal and they got very interested :D Expect an e-mail from one of them. Great deal.
JBIZ718 05-03-2001, 04:11 AM Good speed, but per a recent post on this forum, i would be reluctant to ever do business with a company like yours.
Im not looking to move, but I will say that you have a good deal.

I'm a bit puzzled by this. Surely you don't mean *all* legal content. There are a number of things (spamming, IP spoofing, etc.) which are technically legal (at least in most jurisdictions) but are outlawed on the internet. Would you like to clarify this? (FTR, I don't have any need of your services so it doesn't particularly matter to me, but I am curious)

Well, I thought these were implied to be illegal... and I said *content*, not actions/activities. But yeah, these aren't allowed. Sorry for any confusion.

What was the recent post? I'm semi-interested, but a bit hesitant now!

This is the Post...
Im not sure how believable it is, and what not. Jeff seems like a good guy and a good company owner.

hostmaster2k 05-03-2001, 03:23 PM what's U ?
I think that other post on WHT about the experience with ServerHost was a fluke. I mean, Jeffs a good guy and his business is the same. If everything is true that the guy said, the company would be non-exsistant. Take that into consideration.

U stands for "unit" (yep, very useful). In this case, a unit of height, which is 1.75". Servers unless specified otherwise are always 19" wide and normal equipment racks can fit servers up to 26" deep, so a 1U server would be between 1.75"x19"x12" and 1.75"x19"x26" HxWxD.

Thanks... :) That saved me from typing it.
We are willing to extend this offer to any server under 4U (including mid-towers) for an extremely limited time (probably the next 5-10 signups).
Thanks for all of your positive comments - it makes me feel good that what that customer posted didn't kill your opinions of me... :)
Have a good Friday everyone!

cperciva 05-03-2001, 05:24 PM I need to setup some content filters on my machine to stop me when I try to read these offers... I keep on feeling disappointed when I realize that I can't take advantage of them because I don't have a server which needs colocating.
rodent 05-03-2001, 09:26 PM heh, maybe you should feel compelled to put together a server just so you can take advantage of such an offer!
Well, just added more air conditioning in the Ohio facility to accomadate all of the new colocation servers... Keep the orders rolling in... :)
Thanks, and have a good weekend everyone.
MattG 05-04-2001, 07:24 PM Sounds like you really want to fill your datacenter. Please give the CPanel details per this offer..
VDI's Webhost Manager and Cpanel is $100 per month per license.
Cpanel and Webhost Manager is now available to our co-location customers at just $75 per month.
This co-location special offer is still available, to anyone interested.
Also, since the original post, our upstream has added a gigabit ethernet connection to Level3.
Revisions to the above information:
- Ping/Traceroute to 216.185.47.251 to test the network
- We will provide as many IP's as you can justify at no charge.
Please contact me directly with questions or to order.
Thanks!
venomx 06-03-2001, 11:10 PM I told a friend about this offer and he says there has to be a "catch". Anyone send a server in yet that posts here?

The "catch" is probably that colocation space for a 1U server is dirt cheap.
zenwoo 06-04-2001, 06:06 AM cool deal! how long will the offer last? I am just about to get my hands on assembling a server to be colocated with you?
