Does anyone here use AuthorizeNet and Excel?

Since authorizenet doesn`t have recurrent billing i have to download all transactions into one big batch... and then upload that one batch each month to bill all customers.

I`m downloading transactions into notepad and then transferring it into excel... but when i then go to upload the batch it`s not freakin working. I`ve been messing with this crap the past 2 hrs and have called authorizenet several times. There aren`t any decent instructions on how to do this.

Does anyone here maybe have any hints or suggesstions about what the secret is to make this crap work?

 :bawling:

haha! I fiqured out why this $#@! still isn`t working. For some stupid reason excel is changing all credit card numbers by always replacing the last credit card digit to a zero.
Like if i type the numbers:
4526358745966985... stupid excel chaages it to:
4526358745966980

I`ve tried everything but can`t firure out why excel is doing that.

Does anyone here maybe know how to fix this or what i`m doing wrong? This is totally screwed..

Why do i have the feeling i`m talking to myself.

Are those real credit card numbers :) :) LOL. Anyway, I beleive it has to do with the type of data that excel see's it as. It tries to edit it to fit a certain standard. Like if the cell data type was precentage it would delete the numbers and leas %45.26 or something. What I did was convert the numbers to appear to Excel as text and it didn't touch them :)

Give it a shot.

LOL...no it`s not real credit card number. Has someone tried to go shopping with it yet?

I think Excel has cursed me. I did change it to TEXT like you said (then it doesn`t change the last digit to a zero). So that part is fixed.
I entered my credit card number, saved it, and uploaded it to test but authorizenet is saying "invalid credit card number". I know it`s valid because it`s my card number and when tested this crap strictly using notepad it works just fine.

So i know that blasted Excel is still doing something weird to the numbers making it invalid. I`m about to give up and ditch Excel for notepad. I don`t like how that Excel just changes numbers left and right just because it feels like it.

:( :crap:

Those are settings. Those who do lots of caluclations and complex data manipulation like those settings.
