Hi,

I'm starting a webhosting and design buzz....
I was thinking to offer support trough e-mail only.
I have setup a system that I will be paged on my cell phone
if I'm not at home. Is this enough, or do I really need a ticket system?
I do feel that E-mail is a bit more personal than a support ticket trough a website....

What is your oppinion about this?

Setup PerlDesk but only use the email2desk feature (no login) and change the templates do edit out the URL's. That way you can easily keep track of emails, plus it gives a more personal feel.

I read somewhere you should have at least 3 ways for customers to contact you. It's also easier to keep a customer you have than to get a new one so the more you are able to please the customers you have the better.

One question, will someone be available to answer these emails 24/7 ?

Yes, I will be available for 12 hrs, and my companion will be available for the next 12 hrs.
