I have an OpenVPN server on one of my servers and I plan to share some of its bandwidth with other people. I am just wondering if it is possible to limit each user to a certain amount of bandwidth, for example one user gets 1Mbps and another user gets 5Mbps and etc...

Is this possible and if so does anyone know how to accomplish this?

If you have a dedicated/XEN vps, you could use TC.

If you have an OpenVZ VPS you could use iptables :)

TC is a lot more efficient for what it's worth.
