Savvis communications just solved there financial woes temporarily.

This is quite important as these optical companies are dropping off the earth left and right.

Overall a solid company, we have considered using them before, but were reluctant based on there financial problems.

Any thoughts are always welcome.

Great...of course I don't know that anyone will sell them equipment at this point :):

Meanwhile, Herndon, Va., network operator Savvis Communications Corp., for example, last week disclosed it has defaulted on $235 million equipment loan facility from Nortel.

I wish them luck, but in my opinion, they still suck :D.

Well, other then there financial problems, I would have to say that Savvis has a great optical network.

There main peering partners are

UUnet
Cable and Wireless
Level 3

They where named the #1 optical network in the coutry, by network magazine.

Overall they have a solid network and saying they suck just shows you dont know what your talking about.

They are a good company, yet have financial problems. Many companies do.

Joe-- you're losing your mind :D. The article you posted indicates they won an award for best VPN product. That's different then having the number 1 optical network.
